I studied Business & Economics becoming the cliché example of a kid who spent his university years studying something he never felt destined to do. With no regrets I’m thankful for this, now I’m good with numbers and have never looked at design as purely creative work. As a business, if it doesn’t deliver results, it’s insignificant how fancy it looks.
While exploring and discovering, I found myself in different fields and roles. I was responsible for a better experience for the people throughout my entire career: whether I was managing a restaurant or planning and creating social media content for brands.
Surprisingly I've found many transferable skills from both of these industries that I apply to my UX role every day. Hospitality was a life experience in which I learned how to be truly an initiative leader, collaborate, multitask, pay attention to details, communicate and deliver exceptional customer service.
While working in marketing I was able to create research-driven content, distill the large sets of data and numbers into meaningful and actionable insights, being strategical when planning, and finally be a creative problem-solver.
I as a Designer
People don't buy your product or service, people buy the experience. And my job is to create those micro-interactions to delight and empower your users.
I'm an achiever, not a "doer". And understanding the "why" of things is my superpower. I always start with questions rather than answers.
UX and product design change every day, like every other industry, so I never stop learning about design trends, business, human behavior, growth, and how all this is merging together. Learning is a mindset - if I stop, I’ll be out of business.
There are several places I used to call home before moving to San Francisco in 2018. If you can guess the origin of my accent, coffee is on me next time we meet to discuss your project’s needs.
If I’m not designing I'm probably exploring mother nature, listening to a podcast about psychology/crime, or taking care of my 100+ collection of plants. Did I also mention that I have a snake?
